According to this article, just recently Americans found out about the damage our country use to uphold in Guatamalan Bay. Not only was it abusive, but it was a concern to international health. Our country use to test the prisoners with the medicines we were making. When penicillen was created, prisoners were harmed in many ways. Our country forced people who were infected with syphilis, a sexually transmitted disease, to sleep with the prisoners of Guantamalan. If the prisoners refused, they would spread syphilis into scars on their bodies. Once the prisoners were infected with syphlisis, they were then treated with penicillen. Many of the prisoners died because the penicillen did not work. This problem is an international concern. It is awful to thing that this happened in America and is just now being released to the public.
